Welcome and tips Empty Welcome and tips

Hello from Mark and Tracey (at Brookmead)

We hope you are all bearing up during these challenging, unprecedented times and are glad that you all have company.

Mark has set up a forum just for a small number of households at this top end of Brookers Road so we can support each other in various ways. We have posted this communication to nine households. We would like to keep the numbers low, to our immediate neighbours, as there are of course various other support groups people can join, and we would prefer to make sure we can support those of you nearby first! This site is purely an information channel and usual rules of internet forums apply. Please use the site responsibly and with consideration, and send me a private message if you have any concerns about the site.
Forum address https://brookersroad.forumotion.com If you have any difficulties with the forum, do ask. Tracey’s mobile 07900 854916. Landline 01403 784307.
Tracey's email address is tracey.m.france@gmail.com should you wish to ask any questions before you join. Bear in mind Tracey will be managing the forum, and it is all new to her! If anyone else would like to help with the administration of the site, especially if well used, that would be appreciated!

We thought you could ask for various type of help on the forum, such as you wish to have a chat with someone (in which case you will need to provide your phone number), you wonder if anyone might like to exchange some food/household products, you are self-isolating and need someone to collect something for you, for example.

Tracey can help you if any of your household are self-isolating. No charge of course other than for items bought! She can particularly help with picking up shopping. This will consist of one daily trip (times will vary) visiting a small number of the village shops only, until further notice. As you know items are limited in amount allowed or not available. We will work on a first come, first served basis and cannot of course guarantee all your wishes are met.
We of course need to be sensible in these times, ensuring any physical exchanges are risk free. Tracey will be happy to deliver items to your door and doesn’t expect you to answer as we want you to remain safe!

Thinking of you all, Mark and Tracey

TIPS for using the forum (collation of those already provided)

Please post a reply in the particular topic area created. You can edit any of your messages after posting (use the pencil icon top right of the particular post).

When there is a new post, you should have a red message icon rather than a black one for the topic area. Also you should have a notification pop up in the top right, and also just below the back header bar it will say if there is a new notification (view posts from last visit). This means you only need to click in the particular topic area to a view a post rather than clicking into each topic area.

On the right hand side under your user icon (blue circle with avatar) for a post there are some symbols. If you hover over them you can see what they do. You can send someone a private message (quote box with three dots) or an email (envelope).

Thanks for using the forum which we hope is supportive to you all.
